Dear Parents a Warm Welcome to You all,
Today in this competitive world we all want our children to have an all round development and become ‘ Master Of All Trades `, to aquire this we try and give our child the best possible education, but is it the right education?
When the child starts his schooling in Nursery we expect the child to read and write alphabets as early as possible, is it justifiable to expect this from the child ? While you know for a fact that the child is not even able to hold a pencil properly or turn the page of a book we force the child to write by holding his hand or holding the book whose weight also he may not be able to carry. We also pressurise the child to complete the homework given by the teachers, when he is not able to do so the parents just fill up the worksheets to complete the task, have we ever thought what message the child is deriving out of this action ?
At AKSHARA HIGH SCHOOL we educate the child in developing the
"FIVE SENSES" which are LISTENING, SEEING, TOUCHING, SMELLING & TASTING.
We do this by providing the child the necessary exposure to observe, experience and learn. THIS LEARNING MAKES THE CHILD VERY CONFIDENT AND SELF – DEPENDENT. When the child learns through his own experiences, that learning becomes a complete education.
To quote an example - we introduce an apple to the class as a real fruit, the child learns by ,
LISTENING - When we tell the child the name ‘apple`
SEEING - When the child physically observes the the shape and sees the colour of the apple
TOUCHING - When the child feels the texture of the apple.
TASTING & SMELLING - When the apple is offered to them to eat.
This observation and experience becomes knowledge for his life.
You will realise and agree that the same knowledge cannot be provided to the child by showing a toy apple or a picture of an apple.
When the "FIVE SENSES" technique is practiced regularly the child becomes more confident and his physical and mental ability gets strengthened, which helps him develop the skill of reading and writing.
So, dear parents it is required not to burden the child by forcing him to read and write but let him develop his capacity of observation, exploration, experiencing and enjoying the learning.
EDUCATION THROUGH "FIVE SENSES" PHILOSOPHY.
With this approach we are confident that THE CHILD will develop the skill of recognising alphabets and writing ability.
We appeal to the parents never to compare your child with other children, on the contrary to try and appreciate his unique capabilities and qualities.
LET ‘THE LITTLE ONE' BLOOM IN A NATURAL WAY, WHICH IS ONLY POSSIBLE WHEN YOU ALLOW THE CHILD TO USE HIS OWN "FIVE SENSES"
